Bono's New York Adventures and U2's Hidden Stories
Behind the scenes with Bono, Bruce, and a touch of mystery.

Hey there, Garden Tarts listeners!
This week, Hillary and Jenny bring you a special mini episode filled with excitement and a touch of suspense. Let's jump right into the fascinating events from Bono's recent New York visit.
Bono's Eventful New York Visit
Bono was in the Big Apple for a couple of significant events: presenting Bruce Springsteen with the Harry Belafonte Social Justice Award and attending the screening of Guggi's documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival. The enthusiasm of fans outside these events was palpable, although, as Jenny noted, "It was all these people with albums and stuff, which are usually autograph-hounds albums. And it was crazy. Yeah."
"Bono's not obligated to stop for fans. And most people in his social status would not be as generous with their time. So just keep him safe. Please." — Hillary
The Tribute to Friendship
During the Tribeca Film Festival, the camaraderie between Bono and Guggi was evident. As always, seeing them together reminded us of the deep-rooted friendships that inspire much of U2's music.
Style Inspirations
On a lighter note, the episode also touched on style inspirations from Ali Hewson. Hillary and Jenny admire her effortless elegance, especially her enviable hair. Hillary mentioned, "I want my hair like that so bad, but I'm all gray."
Listener Contributions and Future Plans
We love hearing from our community, and this episode features voice memos from PJ and Kristen, who attended the Tribeca Film Festival and the Springsteen event, respectively. Their insights add a personal touch to the events we couldn't attend ourselves.
Looking ahead, the Garden Tarts are taking a short break until July 5th, but worry not! There are plenty of episodes lined up to keep you company. And who knows what surprises U2 might have in store during this time?!
